After growing up in a small town in Virginia, I went to Virginia Tech and received by bachelor’s degree in Information Technology in December, 1998. 

While in college, I joined the Army Reserve and served for 8 years in an General Engineering unit doing road and airfield construction. 

After college, I left the Army Reserve when I accepted my first job with what was then a Fortune 100 company in North Carolina.  I have been with the same company for the last 22 years in various roles in the I.T. organization.
